Hartford Federal Credit Union is a community chartered credit union serving all of Hartford, Middlesex, and Tolland  County. The Credit Union is non-profit financial cooperative owned by its members and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the membership. The Credit Union has been serving its members' financial needs since 1961. For over 50 years, we have been committed to providing members with diversified, high quality, competitively priced financial products and services. We are Federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency.

Member Owned, Not for Profit Institution

Members of the Credit Union are owners and all members own a share in the Credit Union. That share allows their voice to be heard and the right to vote for our volunteer Board of Directors. Unlike for profit institutions, HFCU returns additional income after operating expenses back to the member/owner in the form of low rate loans, high yield savings, and low or no-fee financial services.
