Member Alert: Phone Scam

A central Connecticut credit union has recently reported that members have been receiving calls claiming their accounts have been compromised and were instructed to “press 1” to provide information in order to reinstate the account. This phone scam is a blatant attempt to obtain personal and confidential information.  

Members are strongly urged to simply hang up and notify HFCU right away if contacted in this manner.   

HFCU will never call or email members to ask for or verify personal account information or passwords.
