Hartford Federal Credit Union Donates to Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity

HFCU donated $2,500 to the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity in recognition of Juneteenth. The Center for Health Equity is a part of Community Health and Well Being at Trinity Health of New England, Saint Francis Hospital, and its mission is to advance health equity in our communities through engagement, research, education, and advocacy. Since it’s inception in 2010, the center has tested more than 8,000 men for prostate cancer and saved more than 40 lives; the center also provides community programs addressing health inequities through the mobilization of Community Health Workers. The donation was made in honor of Curtis D. Robinson.

HFCU’s $2,500 donation to the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity is part of the Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023, its charitable giving initiative through which $250,000 will be donated to organizations that provide basic services to people of modest means.  As HFCU’s President & CEO Ed Danek explained, “This giving reflects our core values and is part of who we are as well as being a good corporate citizen.  It is in our DNA, and we are pleased to be in a position to help people during these difficult times.”

Six months into 2023, HFCU has given over $110,000 through donations to the Joan C. Dauber Food Bank at St. Francis Hospital, The Village for Families & Children, South Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, My Sisters’ Place, Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, Simsbury Food Pantry, Safe Net Ministries, Newington Food Bank, Malta House of Care, Operation Fuel, and now the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity.
