Hartford Federal Credit Union Donates to Safe Net Ministries

July 7, 2023- Hartford Federal Credit Union recently donated $2,500 to Safe Net Ministries as part of Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023. This brings the Credit Union’s total 2023 Safe Net contributions to $12,500. Safe Net Ministries aims to work in concert with Stafford Social Services and community clergy members to act as a safety net, meeting the special needs of Stafford, Union and Willington residents who are caught in difficult, transitional times in their lives.

Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023 is our charitable giving initiative through which $250,000 will be donated to organizations that provide basic services to people of modest means.  As HFCU’s President & CEO Ed Danek explained, “This giving reflects our core values and is part of who we are as well as being a good corporate citizen.  It is in our DNA, and we are pleased to be in a position to help people during these difficult times.”

Six months into 2023, HFCU has given over $110,000 through donations to the Joan C. Dauber Food Bank at St. Francis Hospital, The Village for Families & Children, South Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, My Sisters’ Place, Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, Simsbury Food Pantry, Safe Net Ministries, Newington Food Bank, Malta House of Care, Operation Fuel, and the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity.
